Boroka Downs is just 10 minutes from Halls Gap - yet a world away in terms of views, starry night skies, abundant native animals, peace and tranquility but if dining out appeals a number of restaurants and takeaways can be found in Halls Gap should you wish to move from one world to the other.

Waking to kangaroos and emus just outside you bedroom window is for most of us a unique and fabulous expereince.
Stars that, on a good night, you feel you can touch. The stillness and quiet. You can borrow the resorts' bikes and take a leisurely pedal to tGap Vineyard or into town or perhaps join an organised tour. You could grab some golf clubs and spend a few hours with the wildlife looking on at the spectacular Mt Difficult Golf Club.
Horsing around or Quad biking
Content to just go along for the ride? Mount up and join a trail ride through the Grampians bush, or explore on horseback. Quad bike in the attractive Wartook Valley, on the north-western fringe of the ranges.

Lakes Bellfield, Fyans and Wartook are great for canoeing or kayaking, and Fyans is perfect for water skiing most times of the year.
The fishing is great too! Lakes, rivers and streams throughout the region offer some of the finest inland fishing in Australia. Rainbow trout, brown trout and red fin are a specialty. A fishing licence is essential and can be obtained from Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre in Halls Gap, some service stations and Young’s Sportspower in Stawell.

Rock Climbing and Abseiling
The Grampians is regarded as a premier hard adventure destination, where rock-climbing, abseiling and extreme bushwalking are all part of the challenge.
There are a range of tours and guides that can assist you to learn the skills required to conquer the mountains. The Grampians provide access to hundreds of exciting climbs, especially on the rugged cliff faces of Mt Stapylton at the Park’s northern end, and at Mt Rosea, just south of Halls Gap. Local adventure companies offer a variety of climbing and abseiling courses designed to take you to new heights.
A variety of challenging day and overnight walks in the more remote parts of the Grampians offer the chance to trek through some of the most pristine wilderness in the state. You’ll find stunning views at almost every turn in the trail. Details on all walks in the Grampians may be obtained from Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre, just two kilometres south of Halls Gap on the road to Dunkeld. An eagle on the wing - you will see them most days. You just have to be looking.
