Adult only, this beautiful and secluded lodge offers fabulous rooms with no stone unturned when it comes to quality and attention to detail. Amazing views, privacy and wildlife are guaranteed here and all within a 5 minute drive of Halls Gap, should you wish to find any restaurants or bars.

Scattered on this unique Trust for Nature property are five identical Residences or Villas, each for one couple, separated from one another by space & a mass of trees along a ridge line.

One Bungalow for 2 couples hidden away in the most private corner of the property surrounded by beautiful aged gum trees

Each stand alone residence offers complete sanctuary; 5 minutes from Halls Gap but a world away, pampering is the name of the game with plush king beds. a pillow menu, quality linen and pure wool doonas in a romantic and secluded setting ensuring a great night's rest. This beautiful accommodation is so peacefully and quiet you won't want to leave. There are fluffy gowns, slippers and a yoga mat for your use, full view glass walls, with blackout blinds, provide a window to the Grampians native wildlife from the comfort of your bed.

The living area is large and light filled with a wall of glass allowing you to view the surrounding Grampians countryside in absolute comfort. In the winter the log fire is pure romance. A regular supply of wood and kindling is maintained by your hosts.

The entertainment system provides Smart television with Blue Ray player and surround sound as a quality feature. Bring your music and enjoy your 'favourites'. The large sofa with ottoman lets you comfortably take advantage of the view, the fire, the TV or the back of your eyelids. Binoculars a bird field guide and other reference material are provided to assist you in identifying the vast array of birds and other wildlife. A small selection of books about the Grampians, Halls Gap and touring in Victoria are also provided to help you unwind.

The patio area features sun lounges, table & chairs, a double hammock and shade sails in the summer months. There is also an electric BBQ.

The most popular dining option at Boroka Downs is to dine in, enjoy the ambience and make use of the extensive cooking facilities that include full stove and convection oven, BQQ, convection microwave oven, abundant array of utensils, cooking pots and every cooking basic you can think of from salt and pepper to balsamic vinegar.

And you are welcome to browse and pick in the organic vegetable garden

Boroka Downs is just 10 minutes from Halls Gap - yet a world away in terms of views, starry night skies, abundant native animals, peace and tranquility but if dining out appeals a number of restaurants and takeaways can be found in Halls Gap should you wish to move from one world to the other.

Although most guests feel relaxed by the tranquil surrounds and are content to camp in their luxury residence for the duration of your stay, we'd like to make you aware all the region has to offer, just to make sure you don't miss any of the wonderful sites and experiences; if you wish. 

Waking to kangaroos and emus just outside you bedroom window is for most of us a unique and fabulous expereince.

Stars that, on a good night, you feel you can touch. The stillness and quiet. You can borrow the resorts' bikes and take a leisurely pedal to tGap Vineyard or into town or perhaps join an organised tour.  You could grab some golf clubs and spend a few hours with the wildlife looking on at the spectacular Mt Difficult Golf Club.

Horsing around or Quad biking

Content to just go along for the ride? Mount up and join a trail ride through the Grampians bush, or explore on horseback. Quad bike in the attractive Wartook Valley, on the north-western fringe of the ranges.

Canoeing, Kayaking and Water Skiing

Lakes Bellfield, Fyans and Wartook are great for canoeing or kayaking, and Fyans is perfect for water skiing most times of the year.

Fishing

The fishing is great too! Lakes, rivers and streams throughout the region offer some of the finest inland fishing in Australia. Rainbow trout, brown trout and red fin are a specialty. A fishing licence is essential and can be obtained from Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre in Halls Gap, some service stations and Young’s Sportspower in Stawell.

Scenic Flight

For a birds eye view of the region take a scenic flight. Tours can be tailored to suit visitors’ needs not only over the Grampians but also Australia-wide.

Rock Climbing and Abseiling

The Grampians is regarded as a premier hard adventure destination, where rock-climbing, abseiling and extreme bushwalking are all part of the challenge.

There are a range of tours and guides that can assist you to learn the skills required to conquer the mountains. The Grampians provide access to hundreds of exciting climbs, especially on the rugged cliff faces of Mt Stapylton at the Park’s northern end, and at Mt Rosea, just south of Halls Gap. Local adventure companies offer a variety of climbing and abseiling courses designed to take you to new heights.

Walks

A variety of challenging day and overnight walks in the more remote parts of the Grampians offer the chance to trek through some of the most pristine wilderness in the state. You’ll find stunning views at almost every turn in the trail. Details on all walks in the Grampians may be obtained from Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre, just two kilometres south of Halls Gap on the road to Dunkeld. An eagle on the wing - you will see them most days. You just have to be looking.
