Day 1
Launceston
On arrival, transfer to your hotel and begin your journey through the farmland and vineyards, following the Tamar River. You’ll visit the gold mining town of Beaconsfield and tour the mine and heritage centre, before enjoying canapés and a welcome drink as you stroll through the gallery at the Design Centre of Tasmania. End the day with a delicious welcome dinner to get to know your group and guide.

Day 2
Bridestowe Lavender Estate & Freycinet National Park
Drive through the scenic wine-producing area of northern Tasmania. At Bridestowe Lavender Estate, enjoy a guided tour of the distillery and sample the unique lavender- inspired fare. Traverse Weldborough Pass and stop at East Coast Natureworld. Here, meet a Tasmanian devil and other native animals. Travel into Freycinet National Park where you’ll enjoy an insightful walk with a naturalist guide. Then, continue on to the seaside town of Bicheno. Later, you might like to gain a special insight into the lives of little penguins (own expense).
After breakfast, explore the wine-producing region of northern Tasmania and take a guided tour of the distillery at Birdestowe Lavender Estate to sample the unique lavender-inspired produce. Later on, traverse the Weldborough Pass and stop off at the East Coast Natureworld where you’ll be able to see a Tasmanian Devil up close, along with other native animals. Travel into Freycinet National Park in the afternoon to take a guided walk with a naturalist guide before making your way to the town of Bicheno where you can opt to see a the lives of the little penguins (own expense)

Day 3
Richmond & Hobart
Today sees you discover the historic hub of Tasmania in Campbell Town and Ross. Continue onwards to Richmond, home to the Richmond bridge which is 25km long, take in the dramatic coastal scenery from Eaglehawk Neck. Afterwards, head to Hobart in time for an informative city tour learning of the rich history here.

Day 4
Port Arthur Historic Site & Hobart
Visit Port Arthur this morning, which was once famous for being Australia’s most notorious convict prison, and take a guided tour of this fascinating site. Afterwards, join a cruise around the Isle of the Dead where you’ll hear haunting tales of the convicts who were buried here. Travel to Hobart and dine at the Customs House Restaurant in the evening, overlooking the picturesque waterfront scenery.

Day 5
Hobart
Take a sightseeing tour of Hobart today, taking you to Salamanca Place, Constitution Dock and the stunning harbour area. The Apple Isle also has a growing reputation for high quality food and wine, with Hobart at its core. Afterwards, visit the Salamanca Market with its 300 stalls, showcasing the best of the islands fresh and famous produce. During your leisure time this afternoon, you might choose to embark on a tour of Australia’s oldest brewery; visit the unique Museum of Old and New Art; or you may prefer to join an optional full-day Bruny Island adventure (own expense).

Day 6
Mt Field National Park & Lake St Clair
Framed by lush vegetation, the three-tiered Russell Falls is a jewel in the crown of Mt Field National Park. After a short walk to marvel at the famed falls, continue to World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Here, relish the pristine wilderness on the shores of Lake St Clair. Later, travel by coach to the town of Strahan to enjoy a buffet dinner at View 42 degrees Restaurant and Bar in the evening.

Day 7
Cruise Gordon River & visit Cradle Mountain
Take a cruise through Macquarie Harbour to enter the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park then continue on to Sarah Island, where you’ll visit the convict settlement and learn about this area’s history. Pass Hell’s Gate and re-board your coach upon arrival in Strahan to visit Cradle Mountain. Your stay at the Cradle Mountain Hotel gives you the chance to experience Tasmanian nature at its finest.

Day 8
Dove Lake
Explore the natural beauty of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park then visit Waldheim Chalet and Dove Lake. In the afternoon, travel to Stanley and head to Smithton to unwind at the Tall Timbers Hotel. Here is where you’ll enjoy a tantalising three-course dinner featuring an array of seasonal produce from local beef to delicious Tasmanian cheeses.

Day 9
Smithton
Sample Tasmania’s finest chocolate this morning during a tour at the House of Anvers before making your way to the Great Lakes Plateau. Enjoy the vast body of water that draws anglers from all over Australia. Continue on to Launceston where you’ll dine with your tour guide and group at a farewell dinner and a drink or two.

Day 10
Tamar River
Enjoy an exclusive breakfast at your hotel before making your way to explore Cataract Gorge. Cruise along the picturesque Tamar River and visit Woolmers Estate before transferring to Launceston Airport where the tour comes to an end.
