Fayyaz & Nazma travelled to Australia and New Zealand with us in November. Here is their honeymoon story:

Australian Sky produced the most amazing itinerary for our honeymoon to Australia and New Zealand. Starting in Sydney we visited the Opera House, Blue Mountains and Featherdale National Park where we saw the native kangaroo, koala and wallaby. The hop-on hop-off bus was the perfect travel method to visit landmark sights such as Bondi Beach and Darling Harbour.

Our next stop was the famous iconic, Ayers Rock where we experienced the quintessential Aussie lifestyle mixing with the locals and the aboriginee. A barbeque dinner under the stars; visiting the Field of Lights comprising of over 50,000 solar powered bulbs and observing the sunrise and sunset at Ayers Rock was truly magnificent!

We took advantage of the Aussie summer in December and couldn’t part Australia without visiting the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns. Snorkelling with marine fishes was magical and a helicopter ride over the reef was amazing. Just when we thought we’d seen it all, a day trip to Kurunda via the scenic railway and skyway cable car totally blew us away. This popular attraction lies some 21 miles of picturesque landscape and we passed by the breath-taking Barron Falls where we stopped often to take pictures.

We found the people ever so friendly and helpful throughout our trip. They were accommodating and would think of nothing to ask us if we needed help when looking a little lost.

The finale was in Queenstown, New Zealand; one of the most beautiful and scenic places in the world. An overnight cruise to Milford Sound enabled us to see incredible gorges, lush forests and roaring waterfalls. A surprise helicopter trip over The Remarkables saw us land on snowy mountains and take in the surreal views. Our last day was an excursion with Nomad Safaris visiting the Lord of the Rings movie sights.

We would recommend Australia and New Zealand to everyone, especially as a honeymoon destination. Appreciating the long haul flight can be daunting we found that it really wasn’t that bad. A couple of movies, in-flight meals, a few naps, and frequent walks up and down the airplane aisles, the time flew by quickly.

When planning this trip I contacted a few travel agents but none were as accommodating and professional as Australian Sky. The advice received was second to none and Alexandra must have revised the itinerary half a dozen times to accommodate us. We thank you so much for all your help and we both hope this article influences others to take the plunge and visit these two magnificent countries.

We would like to thank Fayyaz & Nazma for sharing their story with us and hope to welcome you on another holiday soon..
