Crossing from Western Australia to the Northern Territory, this 4WD only on the famous Gibb River Road is a genuine 'see Australia's outback' experience. A million and one places to stop off, sheer splendour,a feast for the eyes, culminating each day with wonderful accommodation, a cool tinnie and fab food.

Broome is a city not to be missed and appearing a lot more on people's radar. A good place to chill out before your nepic journey.

Please note that this self drive in Australia is restricted to May - Sept months due to the impassable roads during the rainy season.

DAY 1 – ARRIVE BROOME

Broome’s unique beauty requires time to explore. Pristine beaches and bays fringed with glistening white sands, craggy red cliffs and the sparkling tropical waters of the Indian Ocean are some of the wonders of this coastal delight.

ACCOMMODATION: BROOME – 1 NIGHT

DAY 2 – BROOME TO IMINTJI SAFARI CAMP APPROX. 450km (280 miles)

Depart Broome and head northeast to Imintji Safari Camp via Derby.

ACCOMMODATION: IMINTJI SAFARI CAMP – 2 NIGHTS

DAY 3 – IMINTJI SAFARI CAMP

Today is at leisure to enjoy the Imintji Safari Camp and explore the Gibb River Road area.

DAY 4 – IMINTJI CAMP TO EL QUESTRO STATION APPROX.405kms (251 miles)

Depart Imintji Safari Camp and continue northeast on the Gibb River Road to El Question Station. El Questro Wilderness Park is considered to be one of the world's most unique holiday destinations.

ACCOMMODATION: EL QUESTRO STATION – 2 NIGHTS

DAY 5 – EL QUESTRO WILDERNESS PARK

Day at leisure at El Questro.

DAY 6 – EL QUESTRO STATION TO KUNUNURRA APPROX 100kms (62 miles)

Departing El Questro Station and travel the short distance to Kununurra, the gateway to the Kimberley’s from the East. Kununurra is ideally located as a base from which to explore the Kimberley’s major attractions.

ACCOMMODATION; KUNUNURRA – 2 NIGHTS

DAY 7 – KUNUNURRA

Day at leisure to discover Kununurra

DAY 8 – KUNUNURRA TO KATHERINE APPROX. 510km (316 miles)

Depart Kununurra and travel to Katherine. Hire a canoe on Katherine Gorge, listen into the world’s largest classroom – the School of Air, and visit Edith Falls and the mysterious Cutta Cutta Caves.

ACCOMMODATION: KATHERINE – 1 NIGHT

DAY 9 – KATHERINE TO KAKADU NATIONAL PARK APPROX. 300km (186 miles)

Make your way to Kakadu National Park, Internationally recognised, this World Heritage listed National Park is one of Australia’s most prized cultural and ecological treasures.

ACCOMMODATION: KAKADU NATIONAL PARK – 2 NIGHTS

DAY 10 – KAKADU NATIONAL PARK

Today is free for you to explore Kakadu National Park.

Overnight in Kakadu National Park.

DAY 11 – KAKADU NATIONAL PARK TO DARWIN APPROX. 257km (160 miles)

Depart Kakadu National Park and proceed to Darwin. Return your vehicle and either fly out of Darwin or continue your travels. There is still plenty to see
